As you know we got married and we had a tremendous day. We were beyond lucky to have fantastic vendors. One of them was Anna our photographer. When we started planning the wedding we contacted photographer after photographer and could not find anyone who could give us everything we desired.
We received a suggestion from a family friend for Margaret Newton Photography (MNP). As soon as we saw the pictures the decision was made. We couldn’t stop looking at the photographs. After doing some research we discovered the there are two main photographers at MNP– Margaret (the owner) and Anna. We were in love with Anna’s photos. There was something different about Anna’s photos. She didn’t just capture what was happening, but she capture the emotions of the people.
From the first contact with MNP we have had nothing but a positive experience. We are not people who are super comfortable with our pictures. To be honest I was kind of dreading them. We met with Anna at a local coffee shop to talk pricing, what was offered, and to look at some of her work. She drove to us (which was not super local for her) and worked around our schedules.
Anna met with us several times each time coming to us and working around our busy schedules. She was always easy to contact and responded in a timely manner.
As I said before, we hate pictures of ourselves. When we got our engagement pictures back we were in love. And after the wedding we couldn’t stop looking at our photos. We got our photos back in a timely manner (4 weeks from the date of the wedding) and we loved every single one. Anna listened to our preferences, she helped us with scheduling the day of, and she made sure to get the pictures we desired. We sent her wedding pictures we had seen online that we loved and she tried to get similar photos for us. She even worked with us when we decided to skip some scheduled pictures and instead went with us on a trip to Biggby to enjoy an ice cold coffee on the hottest day of the summer!
MNP prices are hefty. This was something that we decided to spend extra money on because this is what we would have left at the end of the day. The one thing that was very cool about our picture package is that it included a print credit. This means that after the wedding when we had spent all our money, we were still able to get prints, an album, or canvas’ immediately! To me it was kind of like a savings account for wedding pictures 🙂
After the date of the wedding we no longer work with Anna and are left to deal with Margaret for using the print credit. We decided to spend the print credit on an album. We made a list of 85 pictures or so that we loved and wanted included in the album and sent it to Margaret. Margaret designed an album and sent us the proof within a couple of days. To our surprise we absolutely HATED the album. After going back and forth with Margaret on questions and ideas of what to do to change the album, Margaret sent us a revision. This time we LOVED the album.
Anna was a pleasure to work with. We would HIGHLY recommend using her as a photographer. Anna’s artist eye is amazing and you won’t be disappointed.
